In this next lesson, we are moving to the Art Element, Shape. The students will choose an animal that they identify with and they will use mosaic techniques to create a piece of artwork.
Color will also be used in this project, as we have learned so far in art, you cannot use just one element to create a piece of artwork. Color will be used for the "grout" lines, for the color of the animal's fur, feathers or scales and color will be used in the background.
This is a good hands-on project, we have completed several drawing projects and it is good to switch to another type of project. I am looking forward to seeing the outcome!
